Carillon concerts in August

In August, two guest musicians will be playing the Würzburg carillon in the tower of the Neubaukirche. As always, the concerts are free to attend.

On Wednesday 5 August 2026 at 5.30 pm, Koen Cosaert, Director of the Royal Carillon School ‘Jef Denyn’ in Mechelen and town carillonneur in the Belgian towns of Harelbeke, Izegem, Kortrijk and Roeselaere, will be performing.

On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, at 5.30 pm, Marc van Bets, carillonneur at St Rombouts’ Cathedral in Mechelen, will be performing.

As always, admission to the concerts is free. The music can best be heard in the courtyard of the Old University at Domerschulstraße 16; the concerts last approximately 30 minutes.
