The Career Centre at the University of Würzburg sees itself as a central interface between the university and the world of work. With a comprehensive range of counselling and events, it supports all enrolled students - from Bachelor's to Master's and state examinations to doctorates - on their path to a career.

For the second time, selected students can also acquire the Professional Skills Certificate as part of an additional study programme. This additional university qualification is part of the reference system of top European universities and prepares students specifically for the demands of a global labour market characterised by artificial intelligence, automation and demographic change.

Highlights in the summer semester

In an increasingly complex world of work, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively is becoming a decisive success factor for students. Whether in projects, at conferences or in digital team settings - those who formulate ideas clearly, listen actively and contribute feedback constructively create trust and promote collaboration. This makes communicative competence a central foundation for effective action both in your studies and in current professional and global events; it is therefore also a special focus both in the event programme and in the additional studies for the Career Centre's Professional Skills Certificate.

The Career Centre team also takes into account the growing importance of artificial intelligence as a core competence in the modern working world. With a portfolio of practice-orientated workshops and expert presentations, such as "ChatGPT has your degree too. What now?", "Understanding, designing and using AI: A practical workshop for students", it supports students in not only understanding AI, but actively shaping it and using it sustainably.

International programme

The Career Centre offers a varied programme of English-language lectures and seminars to meet the needs of internationally oriented students - and those who want to improve their English skills in a professional context. These cover a wide range of current topics: From practical skills such as using EURES for career planning, the Europass as a gateway to the European labour market and writing application documents, to personal development and future-oriented skills.

The Career Centre's full programme of events is available online at https://go.uniwue.de/ccpro available online.
