Advent concert in the Head Clinic of the University Hospital Würzburg (UKW): On Friday, 12 December 2025, at 5.00 pm, the brass quintet "Pandemic Brass" will play in the lecture theatre of Neurology/Neurosurgery (House B2). Patients, visitors and employees of the UKW are very welcome, admission is free. Anyone wishing to do so is welcome to leave a donation to benefit the UKW's palliative care unit. The concert is organised by the Interdisciplinary Palliative Care Centre of the UKW. The auditorium is also wheelchair accessible.

Six single rooms are available on the UKW's palliative care ward for the care of seriously ill patients. The palliative care service also advises and cares for patients in the various clinics of the university hospital. Patients who do not require hospitalisation are also advised and treated in the palliative outpatient clinic.

About the Quintet

The "Pandemic Brass" quintet was formed during the coronavirus pandemic. It consists of brass players from the Mainfranken Theatre Würzburg. These are: trumpet players Johannes Mauer, Klaus Englert and Thomas Rath, horn player Jürgen Gräßler and trombonist Leander Seidenbusch.
