The Research Commission addresses fundamental issues related to the further development of the university's research profile and makes corresponding recommendations to the Executive Board. Where necessary, it participates in the application process for the establishment of collaborative research centers, graduate schools, and research groups. It also provides advice on the establishment of other academic centers and facilities.
