On 3 December 2026, a winter get-together will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the BAdW’s Schellingforum, Klinikstr. 3.

About the Event

We are pleased to invite you to the next Winterly Get-Together – International Science Community Meeting, entitled “Winter Around the World – Celebrating the Season”, on 3 December 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The Winterly Get-Together brings together short- and long-term international doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, professors, university affiliates, and staff members who are involved in or interested in internationalisation for an evening of networking, academic exchange, and seasonal celebration.

The evening will begin with insights from Prof. Dr. Doris Fischer, Vice-President for Internationalisation and Alumni, followed by a seasonal impulse. Guests can enjoy freshly made waffles and punch in a setting, which provides a wonderful opportunity to meet peers, make new connections, share ideas, and expand the professional network in an international context. At the heart of this event lies interdisciplinary and international networking, giving participants the chance to explore creative solutions and forge new synergies across disciplines and borders.

Optional Sharing: Winter Traditions Around the World

You are warmly invited to share how the winter season is experienced and celebrated in your country, region, or family. You are welcome to introduce customs and traditions, such as festivals, celebrations, dances, songs, stories, or traditional foods. Sharing is entirely optional.
