Networking is a key skill for studying and starting a career. Many students are
unsure how to establish contacts, present themselves convincingly and maintain relationships
in the long term, especially if they have little professional experience or if there are hierarchical
differences. Using digital platforms such as LinkedIn to network
is also a challenge for many.
This seminar teaches students in a practical way how to organise networking as authentic relationship
building based on an honest interest in the other person. Students learn how
they can develop genuine, sustainable professional networks step by step, present themselves confidently and consciously utilise
networking opportunities.
Contents of the seminar:
- The basics of networking: importance, goals and opportunities
- Authentic appearance: utilising your own strengths to establish genuine contacts
- Communication strategies: Initiating conversations, actively listening and organising follow-ups
- Online and offline networking: using platforms, events and functions effectively
