From amphora to oinochoe – central key forms of Greek vases

There is no doubt that narrative images are of inestimable value to the study of antiquity today. But what significance did the vessels themselves have in antiquity when they were made, sold and used? What can the pottery design of the vessels tell us about their practical function? We want to find the answers using selected key forms.
