The mentoring programme brings students (mentees) together with alumni (mentors) from the University of Würzburg. The mentors share their experiences with the mentees and offer, for example, career guidance or support with starting out in their careers.
The programme begins with a 4-hour workshop run by the Career Centre, in which guidance on a potential analysis helps to strengthen your self-presentation, enabling you to go into your discussions with mentors with a clearer idea of what you want.
The topics covered include:
- Identifying and recognising your own potential, defining it in concrete terms and putting it into practice (more) consistently
- Self-perception and how others perceive you (the Johari Window)
- What motivates me?
- Personal success and career planning
- Setting and achieving goals
For participants in the mentoring programme, this is followed by a kick-off event, which serves as an introduction, and a feedback session including the presentation of certificates of participation.
