The facilitation process using Metaplan cards is a successful form of group work and group learning. The aim of facilitation is to develop joint, visualisable outcomes for a specific task.
In this process, everyone affected by a change process is made a participant in the process.
The individual topics are:
- The facilitation method: areas of application, advantages and benefits
- The role and responsibilities of a facilitator
- The tools and ground rules of facilitation
- The facilitation cycle: the 6 phases of a facilitated workshop
- Visualisation using Metaplan cards and flipcharts in facilitation notation (including exercises)
- Preparation, planning the sequence of events and possible outcomes of a facilitation session
- Typical questions asked by the facilitator to engage participants, based on Schulz-von-Thun’s ‘4-Ears Model’
- The 5 phases of group dynamic processes and their functions at the task and relationship levels
- Dealing with disruptions
- The rules for facilitating discussions
This is an in-person method!
