Speaking seems to be a completely natural and effortless activity. In reality, however, the voice often has a mind of its own. It can be too loud or too quiet, shrill or deep; it may fail you or cause a sore throat. The good news is that, just like running, the voice can be trained and its stamina significantly improved through practice. In this seminar, you’ll receive tips and guidance on finding the right tone for your voice.
This seminar is not suitable for participants who have voice disorders requiring treatment from a specialist doctor or speech therapist.
Key topics of the seminar:
- Healthy and correct breathing
- Breathing patterns: inhalation and exhalation
- Posture
- Automating the correct breathing technique: practical exercises
- Optimal sound production without strain
- Support during sound production
- Identifying and discussing common vocal problems
- Vocal registers (timbre, vocal colouring, effects that influence expression)
Ms Bialas studied jazz singing and works as a singing and voice coach as well as a musician.
