This year's DAAD Student Conference will take place in Würzburg from 31 October to 2 November 2025. The conference "Internationalisation of Universities – Opportunities and Challenges for Student Bodies" offers space to discuss topics related to internationalisation in various workshops. The conference will take place in the Central Lecture Hall and Seminar Building (Zentrales Hörsaal- und Seminargebäude, Z6) on the Hubland Campus, with some online participation possible.

Internationalisation at universities is progressing in Germany. More and more students are going abroad or coming to Germany to study, international degree programmes are being created and universities are networking in alliances across Europe.

But with these opportunities also come challenges: Housing shortages, experiences of discrimination and the questions of how international students can be integrated into the higher education system.

The conference "Internationalisation of Universities – Opportunities and Challenges for Student Bodies" offers space to discuss these topics openly, develop solutions together, present best practices and exchange ideas.

Participation

Participants can discuss various topics relating to internationalisation in up to nine workshops. Registration is required in advance.

Further information on the programme and registration can be found on the conference website.
