As a central academic institution at the University of Würzburg, the Centre for Philology and Digitality ‘Kallimachos’ (ZPD) combines humanities and computer science in one building. Its purpose is innovative digital humanities research and the development of new computational methods for the humanities.

The research building, which opened in 2023, houses various professorships, a research centre and many research projects, bringing together knowledge and expertise from different fields of humanities and computer science research under one roof.
