As a central academic institution at the University of Würzburg, the Centre for Philology and Digitality ‘Kallimachos’ (ZPD) bridges the gap between the classical humanities, computer science and digital humanities. Its purpose is to provide the best possible support and further develop research of the humanities in the digital age.

The research building, which opened on 26 October 2023, houses various professorships, a research centre and many research projects, bringing together knowledge and expertise from different areas such as the humanities, computer science and other specialists in one location.
