Jobs for Research Associates

Due to the consistently high volume of successful grant applications, new projects are regularly launched . Therefore, we are constantly on the lookout for motivated people to strengthen our team.

A university degree is a basic requirement. We particularly encourage BA graduates to apply. It is also possible to take up a part-time position whilst studying for a Master’s degree.

There are currently no vacancies.

We also explicitly welcome unsolicited applications, which can be submitted at any time!

If you haven’t found anything suitable amongst the current vacancies but are still interested in working at the ZPD, please feel free to contact Christian Reul.

Jobs for student assistants

To support our team, we are looking for enthusiastic research assistants who wish to apply their academic knowledge in a practical research setting and gain insights into new areas of research. Given the varied scope of responsibilities across our different projects, we do not wish to define a rigid set of requirements for our research assistant roles. We also warmly welcome first-year students who are keen to familiarise themselves with the areas of application described.

There are currently no open vacancies.

However, unsolicited applications, in the form of a brief email, are expressly encouraged and very welcome!

Please get in touch, ideally including a few details about your previous experience and interests, directly with the relevant team member:

Theses, work placements and projects

In addition to the courses offered on a regular basis, the ZPD also contributes to university teaching through student dissertations, work placements and projects. Depending on the department, a range of opportunities are available:

  • Theses and projects within the Digital Humanities and Computational Humanities degree programmes (BA/MA) can be supervised directly and independently by the ZPD. Within our key research areas of automatic text recognition and digital editions, a wide range of topics is possible, depending on your interests and skills.
  • Thanks to our extensive and close collaboration with a wide range of departments in the humanities, human sciences and cultural studies, joint supervision of theses and work placements is also possible and encouraged.

Please get in touch if you are interested or even have a specific idea already.
