Teaching Memory

Students get to know deeper knowledge about historical events mainly through schools. However, the government decides what and how information is taught in educational establishments. They form the way we understand and perceive history. Between the government and students stands the mediating authority, teachers, and their teaching materials. But what can teachers do without risking losing their job, as there are educational bans in some states? Therefore, our groups decided to compare how historical events are taught in Germany and in the U.S. and evaluated lessons and materials.
