Language in GfdS dialogue. With the actor, trainer and coach Hendrik Martz, Berlin

07/02/2025

Why do some people come across as more confident than others? Body language is just as important as language. Both levels of communication interact in an exciting way. This is true on stage and in front of the camera, but also at work and in everyday life. The hybrid event will take place on 2 July from 7 pm in German.

The Würzburg branch of the Gesellschaft für deutsche Sprache e. V. (GfdS) is hosting Hendrik Martz on this topic. The actor, trainer and coach will be talking to branch chairman Oliver Herbst as part of the ‘Language in GfdS dialogue’ series.

About the speaker
Hendrik Martz (born 1968) is a trained actor and coach. He first performed in front of the camera at the age of nine and became famous beyond Germany's borders with the ZDF series ‘Patrik Pacard’. After a 25-year career in front of the camera, he now works mainly as a trainer and coach. His focus is on training theatre and improv actors, speakers and executives in performing in front of the camera. As a freelance trainer, he offers camera acting workshops throughout Germany. Both professional actors and actresses and amateurs take part. As a trained transactional analysis coach, he primarily deals with fears and resistance that stand in the way of a free performance.
