My role, my future organisation and ... me!

Date: 03/27/2026, 9:15 AM - 4:45 PM
Category: Fakultät für Humanwissenschaften, seminar
Organizer: Career Centre

Job, role, team, organisation - everything is new when you start your career: you quickly find yourself in the middle of (un)expressed expectations, demands and rules that reliably lead to tensions and conflicts: What can be expected of me, what not? Which expectations do I want to fulfil and which not? Answers to such questions must first be found and then effectively communicated and, if necessary, defended.

A psychodynamic and system(theoretical) understanding of how we are integrated into organisations via roles and which expectations, areas of tension and conflicts are associated with this helps us to do this. We work out how we can manage it well psychologically and communicatively in order to find our way into our (future) roles and develop further in them.

Theoretical content, reflections and dialogue on the topics:

◦ Interaction between person-role-organisation
◦ Dealing with expectations-demands-expectations
◦ Managing internal and external demands, tensions & boundaries
◦ Good and healthy self-leadership & role design
◦ Finding your feet in professional roles, organisations and contexts
