Writing Consultation
If you are stuck with your paper or feel in over your head with your thesis; if you are still looking for the right research question, or if you want specific feedback on your writing process, do not hesitate to sign up for a free one-on-one writing consultation. Regardless of which discipline you are writing in, we offer support at any stage of your writing process. We also offer consultations in English.
We follow a non-directive approach and offer a myriad of strategies and methods you can incorporate in your own writing process.
Consultations usually take 45-60 minutes and follow-up appointments can be arranged as needed. We are happy to provide more information about further offerings of the Schreibzentrum | Writing Center and our cooperation partner facilities at the JMU.
Our goal is a personal and interdisciplinary coaching through your scientific writing process.

Four Easy Steps to a Writing Consultation

- We will contact you as soon as possible and make an appointment
- If you want, you may send us a text excerpt (3-7 pages), which we can use as a baseline for the session
- We conduct a consultation with you and arrange further follow-up appointments if necessary
