Tips for entering the German job market

Even if you get a job in English, being able to communicate in your day to day live, for example with your colleagues and finding friends will be far easier while speaking German. The Language Centre of our University offers German courses for our students for free. So don’t hesitate and partake in their courses!

The German government has compiled all the information you need about visas while looking for a job in Germany here.

Previous work, practical and life experience as well as (non-German) language skills can be important components of an application for a specific job. Your application must also fulfil formal requirements. But don't worry! You can find examples and tips for writing an application on our website. We also offer free application portfolio reviews and other counselling services.
