Office Communication in English - Advanced Course

This course is designed for intermediate to advanced English language learners who already have experience communicating in English in the workplace. Participants in this course should be able to express themselves well in familiar workplace contexts. In this course, participants will learn how to handle more unfamiliar and advanced workplace scenarios. Course topics will primarily include reading and writing detailed emails, communicating effectively on the telephone, communicating via video with platforms such as Skype, working with forms and other texts, reviewing articles or reports, and communicating with English-speaking students, professors, and guests, but topics are flexible based on the participants’ specific workplace needs and interests.

This course will incorporate the e-learning platform WueCampus which the instructor will use to review participants’ practice communication examples (such as emails) and to offer constructive feedback. By the end of the course, participants will be able to handle more complex workplace communication situations and express themselves more clearly and precisely in English.
