English Conversation - Upper Advanced Course

    This course is designed for English language learners with a near-native proficiency level, who use English frequently in their workplace or elsewhere and who would like to further improve their oral communication skills and fluency. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their speaking and listening skills in discussions, role plays, and other communicational activities regarding workplace scenarios.The participants of this course will be able to further their knowledge of English vocabulary, idioms and common expressions, and advanced grammar topics as necessary. Furthermore, they will have the chance of extending their familiarity of various dialects of the English language, which is useful for professionals who often communicate with colleagues from different countries of origin.

    This course will cover many topics such as workplace scenarios, socializing, travel, and current events, but is flexible based on the participants’ needs and interests. At the end of the course, participants will be able to express themselves in English more clearly, spontaneously, and confidently.

    This course will be held in English. Participants should command an intermediate or higher level of English proficiency, corresponding to level C1 or C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

    If you would like to take a placement test in addition, you can go to the web page of the Cambridge University: https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/de/test-your-english/general-english/. 6 to 15 points correspond to level A1-A2, 16 to 22 points correspond roughly to level B1-B2. Please note that this test is only meant for your personal assessment.
