Research synopsis

Sebastian Rausch has longstanding experience in the analysis of host immune responses to parasite infections. One main focus of his work is the analysis of the host-parasite interactions in Giardia muris infections. He also works on intestinal nematode infections, and is particularly interested in determining the effects of co-infections with different parasites on the host. Another area of research he is involved with is the heterogeneity in adaptive immune responses depending on age, microbiome, and genetic background.
