Application Cooperation
One of the tasks of the DACHS Research Centre is to provide technical support for scientific and academical research projects. It acts as an advisory centre and cooperation partner during the application phase, particularly with regard to the digital aspects of applications, their general feasibility and the expected and necessary effort and costs. In the subsequent project phase, the research centre acts as a technical and scientific cooperation partner for infrastructures, the development of new indexing and analysis methods and a wide range of expert knowledge (also via project-internal affiliated units).
To enable the ZPD to make the best possible use of its existing expertise in the preparation of applications, early contact with the Research Centre for Digital Applications in the Humanities (DACHS) is desirable and recommended. The possibility of developing a technical prototype to significantly strengthen the digital component of the application should be particularly emphasised. This is attached to the application, i.e. made available to the reviewers for inspection and test use during the review phase. This can be, for example, a first basic framework of the presentation application of a digital edition or a Semantic MediaWiki filled with some representative sample data. The research fund of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, for example, can be used to finance these or similar cooperative application preparations.
Cooperations with external institutions and researchers are also very welcome.
