FöJ - Voluntary Ecological Year

Voluntary Ecological Year - now also possible at the University of Würzburg at WueLAB

Discover new horizons for a year while learning, orientating and developing yourself. You might think that such a Voluntary Ecological Year is a matter of course by now, but unfortunately this is not the case. There are only a limited number of FöJ places available, for which you have to apply. Personal commitment and an interest in nature, the environment and sustainability issues are therefore a prerequisite.

The FÖJ placement at the University of Würzburg is based at the WueLAB Sustainability Laboratory and will support the team led by VP Prof Dr Anja Schlömerkemper and Managing Director PD Dr Nicola Oswald in sustainability projects at WueLAB, in particular in projects with students, such as the Swap Cupboard, Barfoot and the Sustainability Laboratory.The WueLAB team is happy to support you with projects with students, such as the swap cupboard, barefoot path, interactive wall or "Anton" cargo bike hire, the planning and realisation of events (e.g. Public Climate School), print and social media activities, topic-related research and administrative tasks.
