Reading Mothers

"Mothers - between lived reality and role model"

On the initiative of the Equal Opportunities Officer, Adelgunde Wolpert, the author Christina Mundlos is coming to the University of Würzburg. The Equal Opportunities Office and the "NetzwerkSekretariat" cordially invite you to a reading followed by a discussion.

The topic "Mothers - between lived reality and role model", fitting for "Mother's Day" at the beginning of May, sheds light on the everyday life of mothers and parents. Christina Mundlos will read from her book "Mütterterror- Angst, Neid und Aggressionen unter Müttern".

The event will take place on 8 May 2014 in Z6, the university's central lecture theatre and seminar building, Am Hubland, Campus South, Room 2.011 from 2 - 4 pm.

Mothers - a topic that affects women and men equally. The range of role models extends from the super-mum to the raven mother. Mothers and parents are inundated with numerous choices and almost always live with a guilty conscience, as everyone knows better.

The author, herself a mother of two children and author of various scientific books, courageously addresses the gnawing feeling of insecurity. In a scientific approach, she sheds light on the background to the topic and shows approaches for support and possible solutions.

All interested women and men from the university and other authorities with and without family experience or in an advisory capacity are invited to the reading and discussion. Participation is free of charge.
