Boys' Day
Boys have a wide range of interests and skills - and yet their career choices are often limited to a narrow spectrum. None of the top 20 training occupations chosen by almost 50% of young men are in the social, educational or care sector. Men are particularly underrepresented in these areas, even though male professionals and carers are highly desirable in society. Boys' Day therefore aims to give boys from years 5 to 10 an insight into occupational fields and study subjects that they rarely consider when choosing a career. As a rule, events are offered on professions or study programmes in which a maximum of 40 percent of men are currently doing an apprenticeship or studying. Boys' Day always takes place on the fourth Thursday in April. Which events are offered where is published on the campaign map on the Internet.
