After graduating, Janina worked in corporate communications at Sanofi Germany, including in crisis communications for Industriepark Höchst. Guest lectures and Career Centre programmes helped her to expand her skills and gain concrete insights into professional fields. Janina emphasises that motivation and the right attitude make almost anything learnable, and advises being inquisitive and open to technological developments.

After graduating, Anna Lena studied secondary school teaching at the University of Würzburg and gained a wide range of experience, including as a ski instructor in Switzerland, during a semester abroad in Japan and as a substitute teacher. Today, she is in the first half of her traineeship at a seminar school in Würzburg, where she takes on many roles from organiser to motivator. For student teachers, she recommends taking advantage of the shortage of teachers, gaining practical experience and exchanging ideas with different teacher personalities. Anna Lena also emphasises staying open to new opportunities and actively taking advantage of opportunities for further training.

After graduating, Sabrina worked as a freelancer in adult education at the Kolping Academy Würzburg, the University of Würzburg and Furtwangen University. She teaches integration courses, seminars on scientific work and German as a foreign language, creates her own materials and supports learners individually. Numerous university offers such as courses at the computer centre, the KOMPASS mentoring training and Career Centre events have helped her a lot on her way. Work shadowing in various departments has also given her valuable insights into different teaching methods. ⠀

After graduating, Angelique worked as a specialist for internal communications at Deutsche Bahn. She studied Media Communication at the University of Würzburg. However, it was also activities outside of her studies that promoted her personal growth and strengthened her soft skills. Her tip for career orientation: use your own network.

After graduating, Philipp was offered an internship through contacts, which led to a permanent position. He now works at Luftbilddatenbank Dr Carls GmbH, where he is involved in historical research for the pre-discovery of explosive ordnance. Skills from his studies such as source criticism, research strategies and working efficiently with text have helped him a lot. His most important tip: get active, make contacts and specialise early on.

After graduating, Dominik was perfectly prepared to shape his professional career by working as a student assistant at our company and then decided to train as a psychological psychotherapist. Dominik's tip for dealing with unexpected situations: "Don't despair if a crisis throws a spanner in the works - you can still develop as a person and perhaps find something more suitable in the end!"

After completing his studies, Tilman applied for a job at an E.ON subsidiary in Hamburg, where he works in corporate strategy and internal communications. During the selection process, he realised that personality is often more important than technical knowledge. Working in various teams and skills from his studies, such as analytical and structured thinking, help him a lot. His tip: refer applications precisely to the job advert, practise interviews and show passion during the process.

After graduating, Julia worked as a personnel developer at SALT Solutions GmbH (Accenture). However, she never left university completely. She still has a teaching position at the Chair of Adult Education. Julia finds "multi-track driving" very profitable, which is why she is also a lecturer and examiner at the Chamber of Crafts for Lower Franconia. According to Julia, networking at an early stage is the be-all and end-all when studying in order to be best prepared for starting a career.

Über 30 Jahre war ich als Gymnasiallehrer für Mathematik und Physik an verschiedenen Schulen in NRW und Bayern tätig. Dabei gehörte es zu meinen Aufgaben als Oberstufenbetreuer Abiturientinnen und Abiturienten zu beraten. In dieser Position und in der Funktion als stellvertretender Schulleiter galt es viele herausfordernde Situation zu meistern und ich habe gemerkt, wie viel Freude mir das bereitet. Jetzt setze ich diese Begeisterung in Begleitung, Beratung und Coaching in den unterschiedlichsten Fällen ein und gebe als Referent und Lehrbeauftragter mein Wissen und meine Erfahrung weiter.

After graduating, Anne knew exactly where she wanted to go thanks to her student job at the SKZ: into research into 3D printing processes. She can now live out this passion as a research assistant at the Plastics Centre. The former chemistry (B. Sc.) and biofabrication (M. Sc.) student not only took part in various training and further education programmes here, but also wrote her Master's thesis there - after which she was allowed to stay. Anne is particularly enthusiastic about her research stay abroad, which enabled her to develop significantly, as well as her voluntary work in the chemistry student council initiative and outside the university in geriatric care.

Als Pressesprecherin des Kernkraftwerks Gundremmingen, das zur RWE gehört, verantwortet die promovierte Germanistin seit Juli 2018 die gesamte externe und interne Kommunikationsarbeit für den Standort Gundremmingen in Bayerisch Schwaben und agiert zudem in RWE-Nuclear-bezogenen Projekten standortübergreifend.

After completing her studies, Lorena was able to perfectly combine her love of dogs and social media. As Content Marketing Manager at Josera petfood GmbH, she markets pet food via various social media channels and produces video and image material of dogs. She has taken advantage of numerous opportunities along the way: Through internships, a working student position, guest lectures, further training in her spare time and the university job fair, the medical communication student learnt about many areas in preparation for working life.
