How do you actually find out which job really suits you? For Anneke, the answer was clear: give things a go, gain experience and keep an open mind! Even whilst studying economics, she seized every opportunity to get to know different fields – whether through work placements, part-time student jobs or a semester abroad in Spain. Today, Anneke works as a recruiter at Knauf Gips KG in Iphofen – a company she was already familiar with from an internship she did whilst at university.

The University of Würzburg participates in the European university alliance CHARM-EU and offers students the opportunity to take part in so-called Transnational Online Learning (TOL) courses. These courses are offered by various partner universities in the alliance and provide an international learning experience.

The aim of the certificate programme is to prepare students for the global job market of the future and to sensitise them during their studies to professional activities and contexts that do not yet exist or are difficult to plan and predict. After graduating with a degree in Media Communication (B.Sc.), Christian found a job at the EDEKA Group North Bavaria-Saxony-Thuringia as a project employee in POS marketing, having already worked there as a student trainee. In his work, he creates radio advertising for regional and national campaigns and coordinates the implementation with media agencies. Part-time jobs, internships and university offers such as alumni contributions and guest lectures were particularly helpful for him in gaining practical experience. From his studies, he primarily utilises project management as well as time and self-management in his day-to-day work.
