The University of Würzburg hosts a group for the support of international scientists which has been active since 1984. The group provides a platform for international researchers from all faculties to meet local families from Würzburg as well as other guest researchers from many different countries. The members are very helpful and can give you assistance for your start in Germany. All new visitors receive a warm welcome and can always find a sympathetic ear.

You can find more information about the group on Facebook: „Foreign-scientists-uni-wuerzburg“

If you like to participate in an event it suffices to leave a short message via Facebook or write an email to foreignscientists@gmail.com.

The Vice-President for Internationalisation is the representative of the internationalisation strategy of the JMU and is the contact person for new ideas for internationalisation and cooperation.

The international mentor is the ombudsperson of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg for international students, researchers and non-academic staff. He is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of those who use his services and also offers anonymous counselling when needed.

As a visiting student you can of course also register as an alumnus of the JMU and receive further information about the various activities and exchange opportunities at the university.
The JMU also provides a large overview of partner universities, Erasmus projects and other contacts  for international students.

Of course, you can always contact the Welcome Centre for further information!
