Subject-oriented exchange programmes

Sinology

Furthermore, students of the University of Würzburg also have the opportunity to spend time abroad at Peking University  or the Normal University in Nanjing via the Sinicum, which is organised by the Institute of East and South Asian Cultural Studies. After registering, interested students from all disciplines first take three semesters of language and culture classes at JMU before being offered the opportunity to study in China as part of the European Chinese Language and Culture Programme.

For a stay in Nanjing, up to three study places are available for students of Sinology Würzburg (including the Sinicum). The organisation of the exchange is managed by the Sinology Department at the University of Würzburg; however, funding must be arranged separately with the International Office (e.g. PROMOS).
