Hey ChatGPT, how does good university teaching actually work?

The Teaching Day 2025 will take place on Wednesday, 19 November.

Together with you, we will address the question of how AI skills can be taught at universities in a future-proof way. We will take a look at the subject-specific use of AI tools, explore critical legal and ethical questions and show creative ways of incorporating AI into teaching.

You can expect a diverse programme of lectures and workshops as well as the award ceremony of the student awards for outstanding teaching with and on AI. The third-party funded project WueDive will also celebrate the end of the project in an exhibition.

All lecturers, students and employees of the University of Würzburg are cordially invited!

WueDive closing exhibition

For a good 4 years, the WueDive project developed modern and innovative solutions for digital teaching in many departments at our university. More than 300 project participants have shaped WueDive with their commitment and ideas. We are now celebrating the completion of the project and are looking confidently to the future of digital teaching.

Experience important project milestones visually, audibly and haptically in an interactive exhibition. Find out what WueDive will leave behind at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Feedback and discussion on the AI guidelines

The current version of the guidelines for dealing with generative AI at JMU  (German only) serves as a working basis and is currently being finalised. It takes into account feedback from various departments, has been supplemented with data protection aspects and practice-orientated checklists. The document is divided into

  1. Comprehensive guidelines for all target groups,
  2. Practical and didactic aspects for lecturers,
  3. Information for students on academic work and skills acquisition.

On Teaching Day, take the opportunity to share your feedback with Christian Burdack, Head of the Examination Office, which can be incorporated into a further developed version.
