In the Erasmus+ project Climate Virtual Exchange, you have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge about climate change and climate justice in an intercultural dialogue and to implement your own climate projects in small groups under guidance. The next round starts on 9 March. The registration deadline is 2 March.

The mentoring programme, run in cooperation between the Alumni Office and the Career Centre, brings together students, doctoral candidates and recent graduates with working alumni of the University of Würzburg, who can assist them with questions and problems relating to their professional development. Thanks to the mentoring programme, you can benefit from the experience of these alumni, who are now firmly established in their careers and hold a variety of interesting positions.

Astrid Freyeisen observes China: JMU alumna Dr Astrid Freyeisen is head of the economic and social affairs editorial team at Bayerischer Rundfunk. She is very interested in trends and moods in China.

After graduating with a degree in Media Communication (B.Sc.), Christian found a job at the EDEKA Group North Bavaria-Saxony-Thuringia as a project employee in POS marketing, having already worked there as a student trainee. In his work, he creates radio advertising for regional and national campaigns and coordinates the implementation with media agencies. Part-time jobs, internships and university offers such as alumni contributions and guest lectures were particularly helpful for him in gaining practical experience. From his studies, he primarily utilises project management as well as time and self-management in his day-to-day work.

After completing his studies, Nicolas worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Deutsche Bahn as a business analyst for automatic timetable design, where he acted as the interface between developers and timetable designers. Analytical thinking, knowledge of algorithms and enthusiasm for the railway are essential for his work. Nicolas advises combining personal interests with professional skills, reflecting on potential and always being prepared to expand your knowledge.
