II. Herbaria for Excursions and Worldwide Research Projects

The Würzburg botanists have travelled the world as part of research projects and teaching events. Herbarium specimens were collected during many of these excursions and field work, in some cases as document material for publications resulting from these trips. The herbarium has plant specimens from 45 different research trips.

During this field work, a large herbarium was created of the experimental plants used, among other things. Several scientific publications emerged from this stay, the findings of which have been included in textbooks.
