The botanical garden as a training centre

Horticultural knowledge and skills are essential for the presentation and preservation of plant diversity. For this reason, the Botanical Garden attaches great importance to vocational training for gardeners. Unlike in production companies, where usually only a few plant species are propagated, the gardeners in Botanical Gartens (specialising in ornamental plant cultivation) learn about the cultivation conditions for a wide range of different plants in the Botanical Garden.
