CTL Treffpunkt 108: Our creative space and media room

The CTL opens its most beautiful room on the Campus Hubland Nord to everyone - whether you are employee or student of the university. You can

Treffpunkt 108, a bright room with large windows and a view of an expansive meadow, can and should be used in a variety of ways. It will be a place to think big together and turn ideas into reality. Within reason, there should be no restrictions on how it is used.

Equipped with numerous digital and analogue tools, Treffpunkt 108 encourages experimentation with new forms of teaching and learning in the university context. How such scenarios can then be organised is largely in the hands of the users. The WueDive team is happy to share its expertise and provide input if required.

Use cases

Engage & Experiment

For creative brainstorming or prototyping, a variety of tools such as flipcharts, paper, pens, modelling clay, craft materials and Lego are available. The interactive projector and 4k screen also provide all the necessary digital equipment.

Right next door is the WueDive equipment rental with VR glasses, photo and video cameras, podcast sets and powerful laptops. These can be tried out at Treffpunkt 108 and then borrowed.

Working collaboratively

Thanks to the large 4K screen with a 75" diagonal and built-in camera, the room is ideal for hybrid teaching/learning settings.

The walls, which are fitted with large whiteboards,  also offer plenty of space for extensive brainstorming sessions.

Even the tops of the height-adjustable tables can be written on with dry erase markers and then tilted vertically for presentations. This opens up new, expanded possibilities for visualising ideas.

Relaxation & Immersion

Working together also brings with it the need for a place to retreat . Cosy furniture in a small corner invites you to take a break.

If you like, you can move the large 4K display there and watch a movie or browse through the library on didactics topics.

The green view out of the window and a cup of tea or coffee invite you to recharge your batteries and calm your mind.

What is co-working and how can I participate?

Co-working basically means working together without working together.

Every Tuesday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., we reserve the Treffpunkt 108 to work together as a community. Everyone works on their own tasks, so we only work together physically. There is time for conversation during short breaks or brief chats in between.

You can simply drop by the Treffpunkt 108 during the above-mentioned times and work with us.

Why co-working?

The most important aspect of co-working is working in company. The productive atmosphere created by the presence of others who are also working is motivating without the need for constant interaction. The change of location, together with a clearly defined time frame, supports creative thinking and breaks up established routines.
The furniture at the meeting point can be adapted to your needs. You can work standing or sitting at a table, or sit on the sofa or small seating cubes for a while. You also have the opportunity to browse our library for didactic inspiration or work on ideas with creative materials.

Feel free to drop by and give it a try!
