How do you actually find out which job really suits you? For Anneke, the answer was clear: give things a go, gain experience and keep an open mind! Even whilst studying economics, she seized every opportunity to get to know different fields – whether through work placements, part-time student jobs or a semester abroad in Spain. Today, Anneke works as a recruiter at Knauf Gips KG in Iphofen – a company she was already familiar with from an internship she did whilst at university.

The University of Würzburg participates in the European university alliance CHARM-EU and offers students the opportunity to take part in so-called Transnational Online Learning (TOL) courses. These courses are offered by various partner universities in the alliance and provide an international learning experience.

The courage to change direction! That’s exactly what Viktoria demonstrated when she realised that, in the long run, her teacher training course wasn’t the right path for her after all. At the University of Würzburg, Viktoria had actually been studying to become a secondary school teacher specialising in English and French. However, she then decided not to start her teaching placement.
