At the beginning of October, our second RTG Summer School took place at the beautiful monastery of Schöntal. Our members met for three days to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences but also to get to know each other better during our Leisure Activities.

This year we invited Stéphane Ciocchi, Karin Roelofs and Neil McNaughton as our guest speakers!

Before the summer semester officially ends, we want to introduce you to another RTG member.

Nikita Gorbunov is a PhD researcher in project B3 ("Adaptive and maladaptive cortico-striatal processes in impulsivity-driven approach behaviour") under the supervision of Prof. Klaus-Peter Lesch. He is also the speaker for the PhD Researchers at the Executive Board.

How time flies! A year ago, the first doctoral students started their PhD within the RTG 2660. Since then, a lot has happened in the Research Training Group. Meanwhile, 47 members belong to the RTG: 12 funded doctoral researchers and 13 associated doctoral researchers, 11 PIs and 8 associated PIs as well as 3 postdocs.

Well, there was a Dinner Meeting with a tasty barbecue at the end of the semester and the second PhD Assembly with a lot of space for exchange and review took place.

With the help of a survey, the PhD researchers currently have the opportunity to evaluate the first year.

And at the end of the month it's time for the Summer School with exciting talks on Approach-Avoidance Methods and an Open Science Workshop.

It's time again for the introduction of a PhD researcher: Menghuan Chen is a doctoral researcher in project B1 ("Avoidance and approach conflicts in threatening and rewarding situations") under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andre Pittig and Prof. Dr. Paul Pauli at the department of psychology.
