Portuguese

Portuguese is the mother tongue of about 210 million people, including second language speakers, the number of speakers is about 240 million. The Brazilian variant of Portuguese is taught at the Language Centre. With over 190 million speakers in Brazil, Portuguese is the most widely spoken language in South America. The European variant of Portuguese is also presented in class. Particular emphasis is placed here on the approach of action orientation and the communicative competence of learners in the foreign language. 

Note: Courses at different levels cannot be taken at the same time.

The Language Centre offers the opportunity to recognize foreign language achievements acquired at a foreign university. Please follow the link to the recognition procedure

According to LPO I (version of 13 March 2008), students of selected subjects in teacher training programs in Bavaria must provide proof of foreign language skills at various levels in order to be admitted to the 1st State Examination. Further information can be found here

After the successful completion of the course, course participants will receive a certificate of achievement, which will be issued in digital form with a verification code and sent by email (to the stud-mail address).
