06/09/2026The University of Würzburg participates in the European university alliance CHARM-EU and offers students the opportunity to take part in so-called Transnational Online Learning (TOL) courses. These courses are offered by various partner universities in the alliance and provide an international learning experience.
This winter semester 26/27 you can also participate in Transnational Online Learning (TOL) courses through the European university alliance CHARM-EU. In the course catalogue you will find a large selection of virtual courses. The courses are held online or hybrid and create an exchange between students from different European countries.
Select a course and check the following requirements:
- Suitability of the desired course to your study programme
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD programme
- Subject-specific fit (consultation with the responsible subject coordinator or, for certain courses, with our Career Centre)
- Matching of individual participation requirements (e.g. language skills)
After a successful assessment, simply complete the online application form.
Please note the following deadlines:
- 15 June 2026 for the course starting in September
- 06 September 2026 for the course start in October or later
After the final confirmation of participation, a Learning Agreement must be drawn up. This is also useful for ECTS credit transfer. The amount of ECTS that can be credited can be found in the course information.
To summarise, the TOL courses offer you the opportunity to get to know international perspectives, develop intercultural skills and expand your own specialist knowledge. It also offers you the opportunity to improve your own language skills.
