Part 1: Making a compelling first impression

Making a compellingfirst impression is not a matter of chance or luck, but of know-how that has been consciously acquired and applied. Here, you will learn professional methods for enhancing your ability to make an impact.

  • Re-presentation – how to consciously shape your communication platform
  • A Strong Mindset – how to attune yourself to the situation and your conversation partners
  • First impressions – how to conduct yourself professionally: posture, walking, standing, greeting, announcing your arrival, introducing yourself

Part 2: Modern business etiquette in (job) interviews

In this module, you’ll receive an update on modern relationship management. We’ll review existing standards of behaviour and adapt them to current communication situations. After all, particularly in business life, a contemporary approach to dealing with colleagues, line managers, customers, suppliers and business partners paves the way for lasting success in conversations.

  • The new informality – how to deal professionally with formal and informal forms of address, ‘ladies first’, hierarchy, etc.
  • Enhancing your presence – what your positioning, posture, gestures and facial expressions reveal about you during a conversation
  • Dress codes – what do ‘formal’, ‘informal’, ‘casual’, ‘business casual’ and ‘smart casual’ actually mean?

Part 3: Textile Performance, analogue & digital

Never underestimate the impact of your clothing. Ultimately, only a small part of you is actually visible; what the world sees of you otherwise is the ‘packaging’. Compared with the dress code standards for in-person appearances, there are as yet only a few general recommendations for virtual events such as meetings, presentations and training sessions. Let’s dare to make the comparison!

  • Dress codes – what do ‘formal’, ‘informal’, ‘casual’, ‘business casual’ and ‘smart casual’ actually mean?
  • A comparison – how do ‘analogue’ and ‘digital’ performances differ?
