H. v. Helmholtz (1821–1894) conducted detailed research into the physiology and psychophysics of hearing. In a computer animation we show the structure and functionality of the acoustic organ und thus remind of the Helmholtz’s research achievement.

After almost three years the exhibition “First steps of experimental psychology” has recently been brought to an end. Amongst others the last visitors were students from California who created the following video. Soon we will open a new exhibition about Hermann v. Helmholtz.

An exhibition dedicated to Hermann von Helmholtz, one of the most meaningful scientists of the 19th century, can be visited again in the Adolf–Würth–Center for the History of Psychology from January 7th 2014.
