Getting Indo-German research projects off the ground: This is the aim of a joint programme of the Indian Ministry of Education and the German Federal Foreign Office. The University of Würzburg is represented with two projects.

The M.S. Merian – R. Tagore International Centre of Advanced Studies ‘Metamorphoses of the Political’ (ICAS:MP) was set up in July 2015. ICAS:MP is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and is the first of its kind funded outside Germany.
IRTG 2991 is an international research and training program. In close collaboration between researchers at JMU and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) the team conducts cutting edge research projects on fluorescent, phosphorescent and higher complexity luminescent materials by making use of smart supramolecular matrices.
