Full Hybrid House at JMU and IISER-TVM!
20.01.2026On 26.2. & 12.3.2026 about 30 members of staff and researchers from IISER-TVM and JMU met for a hybrid room-to-room, heterogenous group work transversal skills trainings on concepts and tools for hybrid teaching.
Hybrid teaching –the simultaneous teaching of students located in a physical classroom and those joining online – is becoming increasingly relevant, especially in the context of transnational higher education. But what does good hybrid teaching look like? And how can we ensure that all learners—online and on-site—feel equally involved? These and many more questions were at the heart of a two part transversal skills training hosted synchronously at JMU and IISER-TVM. The verdict after this full hybrid immersion: It's a challenge, but with plenty potential!
