Counseling & Coaching
Within JMU, many different units offer counselling and coaching for researchers. This page is intended to give you an overview of all current offers, especially those of Professional Development. The Professional Development team will be happy to support you at any time, either to provide you with assistance themselves or to refer you to the right office within JMU.
You may be in a phase of reorientation and/or a change of role. As a postdoctoral researcher, you are planning the next step in your career in society or business, are aiming for your first independent professorship or are already taking on your first leadership role in academia.
You may therefore have concerns that you would like to address in a discussion (with us or peers at a comparable career level), counselling and, if necessary, coaching . We would like to offer you this forum.
Completely confidential and tailored to your individual needs. Together we will narrow down the topics, sharpen your questions and work out current challenges that you would like to tackle specifically - and then find the right instrument for this.
