Examinations
In the early study programme at JMU, you can take part in regular examinations (usually module examinations) (with the exception of subjects with restricted admission). The same rules apply for admission, participation and assessment as for regular students. You can use an examination you have passed for a later regular degree programme.
For formal reasons, you will only receive confirmation of the examinations you have passed in the early study programme after you have obtained your higher education entrance qualification. This certificate is not only valid at JMU, but can also be presented at any other university. The same rules apply as for changing your place of study or subject during a regular degree programme. You apply for the certificate by e-mail to the subject coordinator for early studies after your Abitur. Please enclose a copy of your Abitur certificate and provide a postal address for the certificate to be sent to.
Good to know: As an early-stage student, you decide yourself at the start of your regular degree programme whether or not you wish to submit credits earned in the early-stage programme for recognition.
