University Tent 2025

From May 29 to June 1, 2025, the Forum Africa Centre will once again be represented with the university tent at Europe's largest and oldest festival for African music and culture. The University Tent of the Julius-Maximilian University of Würzburg (JMU) has been an integral part of the Africa Festival for 15 years.

In the tent, the Forum Africa Centre will present a selection of the many Africa-related projects of Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg, including the extended exhibition "Würzburg and Colonialism: Yesterday? Today!" and banners commemorating the 140th anniversary of the Berlin Africa Conference ("Congo Conference"). You will also find information on projects in geography, botany, economics, radio astronomy in Africa, the Planetary Health working group and the Else Kröner Center Würzburg – Mwanza. The JMU Alumni Network presents “Voices of African Guests Scientists”, which represent the breadth of cooperation with African partners.
