Open Call for Research Internships GIANT Project

The joint project GIANT (German-Indian Academic Network for Talent) between the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) and the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg (JMU) aims to sustainably strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation between Germany and India. The focus lies on mobility, joint workshops, and academic exchange between the partner institutions. A key component of the project is the awarding of 20 scholarships for research internships, enabling students and early-career researchers from both countries to gain international research experience. 

The program also supports stays for study, teaching, and research, as well as the joint development of curricula and teaching materials. GIANT thus makes an important contribution to the internationalization of universities and the promotion of excellent research.

A key focus of the GIANT project phase until March 31, 2026, are individual mobilities between Kerala and Würzburg.
