Prof. Deepshikha Shahi, a Humboldt Fellow at the University of Rostock and Professor at the Jindal School of International Affairs in India, will speak on 7 July 2026 on the topic “From Kautilya to Nondualist Global International Relations: Beyond Binary Thinking in India’s Foreign Relations". Dr. Philipp Gieg (IPS / ICCUW) will deliver the introductory remarks.

Dr. Barnaby Dye (King’s College London / DGAP Berlin) will speak on 15 June 2026 about the dynamics and trajectories of India-Africa relations in the 21st century. The lecture critically examines whether these relations can be understood as over-hyped, a historic success, or an ambivalent development. Dr. Philipp Gieg (IPS / ICCUW) will deliver the introductory remarks.

In autumn 2025, young researchers from India were guests at the University of Würzburg, and in December a Würzburg delegation made a return visit. The Institute of Anatomy organised the exchange.
