Das Seminar ist die 4. Parallelgruppe der Veranstaltung "Pädagogische Aufgabenfelder und Institutionen lebenslangen Lernens Teil 2".

The concept of action competence in education refers to the development of the ability to carefully consider and critically reflect a certain matter and based on that – make a decision to act. It is based on a democratic orientation towards active participation and co/learning in a community, opposite to the idea of “behavioral modification”. Action competence is considered an important component of the active citizenship, as one of the crucial concepts in teaching and learning of youth and adults. In higher education, it is particularly emphasized by the concepts of lifelong learning (LLL) and sustainability, and supported by its role in accomplishing of the “Third” and “Fourth mission” of university. Following the action competence concept and its theoretical foundations, this course will focus on didactic approaches to the development of action oriented, critically reflective and socially engaged “citizens of the 21st century”.

The seminar takes place on the following dates from 9 am to 5 pm: 15.& 16.05. 20.05 and also 22.& 23.05.2020.
