After two years of intensive development work, the time has come: Version 0.3.0 of the virtual (femtosecond) laser laboratory was completed in time for Christmas and is now publicly available as a demo version for the first time. The propagation of Gaussian beams is simulated and displayed in real time. For an easy start, tutorials have been developed to teach the operation of femtoPro step by step. A "mission system" automatically checks whether the individual steps have been carried out correctly. Further information can be found under the headings Features  and Version history as well as in the Installation and User Guide in the Download section.

Of course, the development is far from finished. We are working hard to implement further functionalities, especially the simulation of nonlinear spectroscopy in real-time and tutorials for automated learning. While the current demo version 0.3.0 can only be used for testing purposes, we plan to complete a full version with extended application possibilities in the first half of 2022.

We look forward to your feedback!
