04/27/2026A group of Master’s students from Capitol University in Cairo and PhD candidates from the University of Manouba in Tunis have commenced their Erasmus+ semester at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
Since their arrival in early April, the participants have engaged with the city’s cultural landscape, explored its museums, and begun integrating into academic and student life.
The programme offers a valuable opportunity for international exchange, fostering academic collaboration and intercultural connections over the coming months.
In their own words
"We are a group of five Master’s students from Capitol University (formerly Helwan University) in Cairo and four PhD students from the University of Manouba in Tunis, who were offered the opportunity to spend this summer semester at Julius Maximilian University as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
From our departure from Egypt to our arrival in Würzburg on 1 April, this experience has been both exciting and enriching. Over the past few weeks, we have immersed ourselves in Würzburg’s local culture, made new friends and explored new places and museums.
Now we are looking forward to the coming months and hope to continue this journey of discovery, study, learning and cultural exchange, whilst at the same time building meaningful relationships with our fellow students. We wish everyone a successful and enriching semester.
